Using radio modems to link a weather station on the summit of Mount Snowdon to the World Wide Web.
At Snowdon's summit there is a weather station which is connected to a data
logger. A Radio Modem was installed at the summit which was interfaced with this
data logger.
Further down the mountain our client has a plc installation with a fibre optic link back to the Dinorwig Power Station Visitor's Centre. A Radio Modem was supplied and installed here interfacing with the
PLC.
The weather information arrives at a PC based at the visitors centre where it is linked to the Internet via the World Wide Web.
The information can be accessed by sending your browser to www.fhc.co.uk
