Wireless Modems
The RM96XX series operate on UHF radio and provide fully transparent data transmission at over-air speeds of up to 16Kbps. Range can be up to 10km and typical applications include SCADA systems, variable message signs, access and remote control. The ERM40XX series Ethernet modems are capable of transmitting data up to 54Mbits/s and can provide 30km+ range under ideal conditions. They are reliable and secure units that provide high-speed wireless Ethernet connectivity across a broad range of applications in the utilities, process control, security and manufacturing industries.
GPRS Modem / Router
The RM6000 is a GPRS modem / router incorporating a quad band radio module. The modems have an Ethernet port and an RS232 interface for connecting legacy equipment. They can be programmed to provide point-to-point links and many other operating modes. They also have built-in digital and analogue telemetry.
Wireless Telemetry
RDT's telemetry system, VersaNet2 accepts signals from all types of standard industrial transducers (analogue, digital or pulse count) then sends them to one or more remote receiving points, where they may be output in their original form or to a computer based SCADA system. Communication between sites can be by UHF licence free radio, wire line modem or GSM/GPRS, offering complete flexibility.
Wireless Video
The RDT VideoWave system includes both analogue and digital products designed to send and receive composite, real-time video signals from CCTV cameras and related products The VideoWave Digital range is based on the 802.11 WLAN technology, especially adapted for transmitting video and telemetry in the 2.4GHz and 5.6GHz license free bands. The system is flexible, offering various configurations from simple point-to-point to multiple camera applications, with built in telemetry for PTZ control.
