Typical automation/SCADA applications require a radio transceiver that is highly optimised specifically for data. The IRDN334 boasts a built-in UHF Transceiver proven on RDT's highly successful range of radio modem products the RM9600 and RM9634. The IRDN334 is capable of operating on up to 64 channels in the frequency range 400-470MHz. Frequencies can be factory or field-programmed with ease. Easy to use configuration, monitoring and set-up software facilitate fast and accurate installation and monitoring of the data link.

Where greater coverage range is required, the Controller Card can be used with a GSM or Wire-line modem, with or without a UHF radio module. Using GSM as the transmission medium, global coverage can be realised. In the case where a UHF radio module is not required, the Controller Card is called an IRDN300.

Note: the IRDN334 is supplied complete with a UHF radio module. It is also possible to use the IRDN334 with a GSM or Wire-line modem used as a backup to the main UHF radio.
